Baha Mar: The New Riviera

Baha Mar has been dubbed “The New Riviera” and with good reason. Sprawling across more than 400 hectares of spectacular beachfront on the island of New Providence, this remarkable resort boasts renowned luxury hotels, elegant residences, and a 9,000 square metre casino – the largest in the Caribbean – among many other things.

The Vegas-style casino is located in its centrepiece hotel, the Baha Mar Casino & Hotel, which is also attached to a vast convention centre stretching across almost 19,000 square metres and is close to the 3,000-suare-metre The ESPA Destination Spa. Baha Mar boasts three other luxury hotels – Rosewood, SLS, and Grand Hyatt – making it a true mega resort.

The 200-room Rosewood also has residences and villas available, while 300-room SLS offers 107 one, two and three-bedroom residences. Similar offerings can be found in the 700-room Grand Hyatt, which features 85 residences attached to the hotel. Owners have the option of participating in the resort’s Rental Program.

Featuring a kilometre-long wide white sand beach, Baha Mar also has a Beachfront Sanctuary as well as a “show lake.” Avid golfers will doubtless enjoy teeing off at the championship Jack Nicklaus Signature course, while shopping enthusiasts will love getting their luxury retail fix at Waterside Place. Lush gardens, nightclubs, restaurants, and a performing arts centre are among the resort’s other amenities. Residents and guests can also access Baha Mar’s own private island, which is no more than a 15-minute boat ride away.
